CED Digest Vol. 2 No. 9 • 3/1/1997 |
From: "Dylan Rolf & Toni Taylor" To: <ceds@teleport.com> Subject: Rare CED's Date: Mon, 24 Feb 1997 18:21:43 -0800 Does anyone have a guide or anything that would tell of the rarity of certain discs? Pressing records or something similiar? What's the rarest title released? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: (jim) To: ceds@teleport.com Date: Tue, 25 Feb 1997 05:02:04 -0500 Subject: Snowy picture Hi there, Just wondering if anyone has any advice. I recently bought a new stylus and cartridge from a place called FOX, but I still get a slightly snowy picture. Is this normal? Shouldn't the picture "rival VHS" or is this not true? I was really expecting a dramatic improvement in my picture quality when I replaced the worn stylus... I had made tapes from some CED's 10 years ago that look better than what the machine does now with the new stylus so I know it played better at one time. Do I have to adjust something? Is it just the age of my machine? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: RKolba0211 Date: Thu, 27 Feb 1997 12:22:05 -0500 (EST) To: ceds@teleport.com Subject: subscribe I have about 750 titles and a dozen machines. As with so many others I felt these items would become scarce collectibles very rapidly. I failed to anticipate the inordinate storage requirements and the wifely wrath that could ensue from such an undertaking. In any event, I am ready to add to the collection and would like to hear from others with discs or machines to sell. rkolba0211@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Feb 1997 13:37:55 -0500 (EST) From: return To: Tom Howe <ceds@teleport.com> Subject: Re: CED Digest Vol. 2 No. 8 Tom, Just sending along a good old fashioned thank you for the RCA Selectavision Home site page. It's really doing well. I figured I would sent a note of appreciation for it. Its often esay to take something like this for granted sometimes. It has been a real help in keeping us informed and focused on how to keep a lot of this stuff in some sort of context. I'm sure there are many titles that would seem like obvious inclusions in the CED catalog that are missing, but that is one I thought of recently that I thought it odd not to be included. Were some movies rights not given to RCA or CBS or whoever produced the disks?
