Shown on the left is the final Goonies shot from the CED version of the movie, while on the right is the same scene from the widescreen DVD version. This is one instance where I believe pan-and-scan is actually better, as the scene seems better composed when it includes just the eight Goonies rather than the extraneous characters to their right.
