Looking for "KING KONG"(1976), Vestron's "GODZILLA"(1954), and "GODZILLA
1985"(1985) on CED. Have trade list available for anyone interested. Also
have some DiscoVision and various LD's for possible trade.

Thanks,

Greetings!

I'm looking for a belt for a Toshiba VP-100. If you have any ideas, let me
know.

Also, does anyone know what the differences in the recording patterns of a
CED and a LaserDisc? Looking at the surface of the disc, the patterns are
pretty much identical (to the naked eye).

The Doors Collectors web site has this for $8 (the movie contains some Doors
music). It took me quite a while to find a decent copy of this on CED. The URL
is:

A CED STORY

I recently bought "THE HOWLING" on CED at an antique mall. But, "THE
HOWLING" wasn't in the caddy. Instead, when I put it in my player, I saw
the movie, "Savannah Smiles". I guess I should have checkede the
numbers on the disk and the caddy. But, I never saw this movie and I
really enjoyed it. So I lucked out and retitled my CED caddy.

Be sure to check the number on the disk and the number on the caddy
and see that they match.

Later,

Dave.

IBM has joined forces with MCA and Japan's Pioneer to produce and
market optical video-disc players. GM now has two-thirds of 10,000
  players it ordered.
Latest entry to the video tape and disc software field is Warner
Communications' WCI Home Video Inc. For 1980, it's planning 55
  releases.

The latest on video discs? Matsushita is dumping its groove-
guided pressure pickup system and is joining with JVC to produce its
Electro-Tracking Capacitance pickup system. This capacitance
technique is designed to be inexpensive, like the RCA Groove-Guided
Capacitance system, but groovelss, like the Philips-MCA Optical-
Tracking pickup syste, so special effects such as slow scan and
freeze-frame can be built in. Meanwhile, RCA has signed a deal with
CBS for the manufacturing and distribution of SelectaVision discs.
That should guarantee software availability when the machine is
  introduced in December.

What are the circular lines in the middle of the CED disk for??? Are they
for Chapters or tracks of the disk??? I've yet to see a player that actually
uses these lines... Both of the players I have have no mechanism to use
these lines.... Does anyone know what they are for???

Dave.

As promised, the Featured CED at the web site is NFL Football, which is
actually an arcade game that used two different discs. The CED Title Database
has also been fully linked to the Internet Movie Database. The site URL is:
