Gene Eddy was RCA Marketing Services Vice President when the SelectaVision VHS system was announced in August 1977. He later became RCA Warranty Programs and Training Vice President. While in that role, he and his wife Judy were among the RCA hosts at the RCA VideoDisc Aloha Conference held from February 22, 1984 - February 27, 1984 and from February 27, 1984 - March 3, 1984 at the Kona Surf Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii. This conference was a free trip for RCA dealers who had outstanding CED player sales during 1983.
